Mrs. Erin Morgan

Librarian

Mrs. Erin Morgan is a native to Phoenix and attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic School in Glendale and St. Mary’s High School in Phoenix, before graduating from Arizona State University. Mrs. Morgan began teaching in January of 2004 as a long term substitute teacher in the Peoria Unified School District. She enjoyed working at Ironwood High School so much that she signed on to teach the Gifted Program for incoming freshman students, and later took over the newspaper, yearbook, and creative writing programs. While at Ironwood, Mrs. Morgan served as the youngest chair of the English department. Mrs. Morgan took a brief break from teaching to raise her daughter (Addison – Class of ’23) and son (Brian – Class of ’27) before requesting a position at SSJ in 2018. Since then, she has worked wherever she is needed, but mostly in the library. Mrs. Morgan is excited to be SSJ’s librarian and oversee our reading comprehension program (MindPlay). “I believe you can never read a good book too many times, and that is what I hope to pass on to these students. I love seeing them come to life when they find books they love.”
