Supporting Ss. Simon & Jude School
The Arizona Private School Tuition Tax Credit law has been in effect since 1997, and has opened the door to private education for countless families that otherwise would not have the choice to send their children to a private school. Individuals send their contributions directly to the school tuition organization, and that organization then provides scholarships for students who qualify.
Catholic schools build character, instill values, graduate 99% of students and send 97% to university. Through a simple tax credit—at no cost to you whatsoever—you can help children and their families with demonstrated financial need by funding scholarships.
What is hard to believe, but is true: It costs you nothing to direct your tax dollars to help children attend Catholic Schools and get a Christ-centered education.
Thanks to a wide range of supporters, SS. Simon & Jude School students have received hundreds of thousands of dollars of financial assistance over the years because of tuition tax credits. Over half of our students at SSJ receive tuition scholarships from Catholic Education Arizona. Without the help of Catholic Education Arizona, these students would not be able to benefit from the Catholic education they are receiving.
For individuals:
An individual may claim a credit for making a donation to a School Tuition Organization for scholarships to private schools. The maximum credit amount that may be taken for the 2023 tax year is $1,307 for a single, unmarried head of household and married filing separate filers and $2,609 for married filing joint filers. The private school tuition tax credit is claimed by the individual taxpayer on their tax return.
Ss. Simon & Jude School recommends that individuals donate online at www.ceaz.org or mail their tax credit contributions directly to Catholic Education Arizona:
